Tchaikovsky: Serenade for Strings Op.48
Fuchs: Serenade No.1, Op.9

Accordes!  is a professional string orchestra comprised of leading musicians with specialist expertise in C19 historically informed performance. Directed by violinist Claire Holden, Accordes! will perform the much-loved Tchaikovsky Serenade alongside an equally beautiful but rarely heard Fuchs Serenade.

The performers of this international group, normally based in different locations around the globe, are coming together in Oxford to explore innovative approaches to late 19th-century style as part of the AHRC-funded Transforming 19th-Century Historically Informed Practice (TCHIP) research project based at the Music Faculty of the University of Oxford.

This concert is supported by the OUP John Fell Research Fund and The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities.
