World-renowned jazz clarinettist Adrian Cox and his quartet present music from their brand-new album ‘Now Is Spring’. The music on this album tour is written by Adrian and long-time collaborator, pianist Joe Webb. So, what to expect?

‘Now Is Spring’ draws on influences of New Orleans, blues and swing music. The tunes are written with the soul and passion of those beyond their years, creating a timeless set of beautiful melodies.

As a band they play as one, seamlessly creating an often orchestral voice. Their sound has become unmistakable and is one which we hope you will capture first-hand.

Over the past two years, the band have toured extensively presenting their tribute to jazz clarinet legend Edmond Hall, with shows all across Europe and at Dizzy’s Club, New York. Their accompanying album ‘Profoundly Blue’ is currently nominated in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2019 (Best Jazz Album).

Adrian continues to be one of the most in-demand musicians on the scene today and has played and recorded with many of the best, including Wynton Marsalis, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Guy Barker, Paloma Faith and the late Dr John to name a few.

And a footnote:
Those who were with us last May to hear Alyn Shipton’s New Orleans Friends play Jazz at Vespers, will remember the stunning clarinettist. That was Adrian Cox. We are delighted he’s coming back.
