In his Oxford debut and in honour of Remembrance Sunday, De Sina presents a programme exploring themes of love, loss, and longing. Performed in conjunction with recitation of his own original poetry inspired by the works, he curates a journey through our darkest anguish towards redemption in the striving of our human spirit itself.

Praised for his elegant and philosophical aesthetic, pianist Alexander Taras De Sina holds a unique place in the rising generation of classical soloists, critically acclaimed as ‘a master of original interpretation…a captivating performance’ (Marina Kryvda).

Born in New York City into an artistic and musical family, Alexander began his piano studies at the age of three. His first concert in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall followed at the age of five. Mr. De Sina is the recipient of prizes in numerous international piano competitions, including First Prize at the National Federation of Music Clubs of America, The Concorso di Città di Asti, The Harvey Gaul Award, The Lucy Millard Piano Award, The Strasser Family Music Award, and The Dianne Flagello Scholarship.
