Hildegard Transfigured: A medieval trance for the 21st Century

Two one-hour performances, 8pm and 10pm

Hildegard Transfigured takes a unique, in-depth exploration into the world of Hildegard and how her legacy continues to inspire. This collaborative piece of concert-theatre presented by female vocal trio Voice, psychedelic visual-artist Innerstrings, and composer Laura Moody uses live visuals, text and music to celebrate 12thC Hildegard of Bingen’s work as a composer, visionary, and woman. The audience will hear her original music and contemporary pieces inspired by her work by established and emerging British composers while being surrounded by an all-encompassing light show recreating Hildegard’s visions for a 21st Century audience.
The performance will include the World Premiere of Laura Moody’s ‘Hildegard Portraits’.
